Please read our new guidelines and requirements for attending the 2021 Back 2 School Health Clinics.
The CDC recently released guidance on the ability of fully vaccinated people to resume pre-pandemic activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and work place guidance.
Healthcare delivery requires close physical contact between patients and clinic staff. However, when possible, physical distancing (maintaining at least 6 feet between people) is an important strategy to prevent SARS-CoV-2 transmission.
Although screening for symptoms will not identify asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic individuals with SARS-CoV-2 infection, symptom screening remains an important strategy to identify those who could have COVID-19 so appropriate precautions must be implemented.
To ensure that patients are not coming into close contact with one another, we are will be using a modified schedule to avoid long lines, extending waiting periods, and overlapping of people in the medical screening areas.
Parent and child must wear face covering upon arrival. Please bring a mask or one will be provided for you and your child(ren).
This year's health clinics will include limited exhibitors, and school supply distribution.
While there are no longer any testing sites operated by the county or state, there are many locations where COVID-19 testing is carried out.
• CVS - CVS will administer a test to those without insurance who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
• Quest Diagnostics - Testing is available at a variety of locations, including Walmart, Quest Patient Service Centers, and other pop-up sites. Appointments are required at all locations. Test locations available to you may vary based on your location and whether you have symptoms.
• Walgreens - COVID-19 testing is available to patients ages 3+. If you receive a Diagnostic Test and have insurance, you will be asked to show your insurance card at the appointment and the lab may bill your insurer. You will not receive a bill from Walgreens or from any lab partner.
To protect the health of patients and staff, we are limiting the number of appointments for immunizations and physicals, in addition to restricting the attendance to only 1 parent or guardian to escort child(ren) receiving medical services. Both Parent and child must have a temperature check upon arrival of appointment in the parking lot, as well as successfully completing a COVID-19 Screening assessment.
Appointments will only be permitted IF:
Temperature screening read less than 100.4 degrees F.
You and your child(ren) do not have any cold or flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing) OR
In the last 14 days have not:
Traveled to a COVID-19 high-risk area
Been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19
